How to read this table
- Label said lists the active ingredients on the package, as reported by the source. "No active ingredient listed" means only confectionery ingredients were declared.
- Lab found lists compounds the lab identified. Red entries were not on the label.
- No active ingredient detected means nothing the lab screened for was found in that sample. It isn't proof the product contains nothing else.
- Each row describes the packages that were tested, at that time and place. Other batches may differ.
What's included
We include published, primary sources that report what was detected in specific retail psychoactive gummies (and, where the same study covers them, related chocolates and syrups): peer-reviewed laboratory studies and government testing or warnings. We don't include manufacturers' own certificates of analysis, reviews or user reports. See our editorial policy for how we verify each row. Know of a study or warning we've missed? Tell us.

Blue Ridge Poison Center (Virginia) managed five people evaluated after eating gummies labelled as containing Amanita muscaria (Sept 2023–June 2024), including a 3-year-old who was hospitalised. Investigators bought six packages of five brands from gas stations and smoke shops; four of six contained unlabelled psilocybin or psilocin, with caffeine, ephedrine, mitragynine (kratom) and DMT among other unlabelled findings.

Four had no active ingredient detected. Muscimol and muscarine, listed on one label, were not detected in any product.

One product labelled psilocybin-free tested positive for psilocybin; one 'nootropic' product contained undisclosed Δ9-THC; kavalactones were also detected.
